OVERVIEW

NEXT (AAU) Program Overview

The Girls’ NEXT Program is designed for athletes looking to play club volleyball during the winter season while focusing on fundamental skill development. This program helps athletes prepare for future placement on Regional teams and positions them to become the “NEXT” key player on their middle school or high school rosters.


Program Focus

  • Open to all skill levels — no prior club experience required


Season Dates

  • Mid-December through late March
  • Open gyms begin as early as November


Team Formation

  • Athletes may register as a full group/team or as individuals.
  • Individual athletes will be evaluated and placed on teams with players of similar skill and developmental needs.
  • This placement ensures appropriate competition level and allows training to be tailored to each team’s skill development.

Inclusive Environment

Parent/Volunteer Coaches


We staff each of our NEXT teams with Volunteer adult coaches and upper High School athletes.  The executive director and master coaches for the National Program will continue to install and deliver practice training curriculum to the NEXT program ensuring consistent training parameters for all levels of Iowa Juniors.

Committed to Training


We trust in the power of quality repetition and fundamental skill development. Experienced coach instruction is essential for skill development. Our National & Regional Coaches will be hosting Parent Volunteer coaching devleopment clinics as well as providing on court instruction to help ensure proper training for this program.

Caring for the Athletes


We make it a point to ensure that each athlete feels she is a part of a family at Iowa Juniors. We want them to have pride and purpose every time they step foot on a volleyball floor. It is our belief that if we push the athlete within our training process while showing them we care about them we can drastically increase the level of development individually.

On top of these three key elements to our training process we also believe in developing a pipeline for athletes to gain experience along the way. We strive to offer each family a program that fits their individual needs. Iowa Juniors desires to train each kid to reach their highest potential and we offer two programs currently that are working to develop athletes/teams that can compete at the highest level nationally. Our Iowa Juniors NEXT program is the building block to success at the national team levels.

PRICING

2025-26 NEXT Program Pricing


This is a paid in full at the time of registration program.


NEXT (AAU) Team Costs & Schedule - Club Dues  $500

Dues include:

  • 2 nights of practice time & gym rental
  • Tournament entry fees
  • 2 practice shirts


Uniforms (Nike Contract)

  • Full “ankle to head” team package
  • Approximate cost: $85
  • Paid directly to uniform provider.


Individual-based options:

  • Strength & Agility Program (Engineered Performance)

2025 NEXT Team Tournament Schedule (AAU Sanctioned)

Local Events (1-Day or 2-Day):

  • 6 - Local Tournaments
  • State AAU tournament if team qualifies
